Marco Simonacci graduated in cello and ensemble music at the National Academy of S. Cecilia with full marks, later he specialized with E.Dindo, E.Bronzi, R.Filippini, G.Sollima. Under the guidance of the Trio of Trieste, he obtained the diploma of Chamber Music Merit at the Chigiana Academy of Siena and, again with the same Trio, he carried out and completed his two-year musical studies at the Duino International School. Winner of National and International Competitions, he has collaborated with artists such as M.Rostropovich, U. Ughi, L.Bacalov, E.Morricone and has performed in Italy and abroad Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, Bellinzona Contemporary Music Festival , Warsavia Autumn Festival, Summer festival of chamber music paxton and many more. He collaborates with the National Orchestra of Santa Cecilia, with the Roma Sinfonietta orchestra and as First Cello with the Tuscan Regional Orchestra. He recorded J.Cage’s Etudes Boreales for Brilliant Classics.
