Enzo Filippetti is a professor of Saxophone at the Conservatory of Music “S. Cecilia” in Rome. Both as soloist and as a member of the Quartetto di Sassofoni Accademia he has given concerts in Italy and in numerous and repeated tours in the USA, Canada, Germany, France, England, Belgium, Lussembourg, Principauté de Monaco, Austria, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Finland, Czechoslovakia, Moldavia, Venezuela, Brazil, Argentina, Japan, Korea, Malta, Greece, Turkey, Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia, Poland, Moldavia, Lithuania, Morocco, Romania, Ethiopia and Albania. He has dedicated time and effort to the works of many composers such as Ennio Morricone, Vittorio Fellegara, Franco Mannino, Marco di Bari, Gabriele Manca, Tonino Battista, Mauro Cardi, Giorgio Nottoli, Michelangelo Lupone, James Dashow, Lidia Zielinska, Hubert Howe and Wilfried Jentzsch. He has held courses, master classes and conferences in San Francisco, Slovenia, Turkey, Venezuela, for the International Courses of Lanciano and at the Conservatorio “O. Vecchi” in Modena, Conservatorio “Pollini” of Padova, Conservatorio “O. Respighi“ di Latina. With the Quartetto di Sassofoni Accademia he has recorded several compact discs for the Nuova Era, Dynamic and Rai Trade (with Bruno Canino), Edipan, Sconfinarte, Iktius, BMG-Ariola, Paganmusic, Reverberi Sonori, Domanimusica, Cesmel. In addition he has also been involved in the development of the repertoire of contemporary music, as well as researching the first Italian and foreign repertoire for saxophones. He has published text and reference books about Sconfinarte, Riverberi Sonori. He plays saxophone with Selmer, Vandoren reeds and BG ligature.
